The project
This Ecommerce website development was carried out for ready to wear garments, namely sarees and western wear. Each type of garment features a range of collections, appropriately categorized in catalogs.
The Challenge
The client asked for modern technology features in the website, yet easy to operate for users, who may not be adept at online buying. Accordingly, keeping the workflow simple was a challenge. Each user needed to be intuitively guided to the specific item starting from a detailed set of categories, occasion, price and even color.
The Solution
A number of custom web design features were introduced to meet specific user requirements in terms of categories and features. Platform design was a key solution in this ecommerce website development project, which upon development met with instant approval of the client.
Features
- Key features like product categories, collections, multiple category listing were provided to make it easy for online users to reach the desired item.
- Even sarees were divided into traditional, embroidered, and designer categories.
- Other features available to the buyer are item size, price, “similar items” etc. Wish list, shopping cart, and single payment gateway were integrated, along with facilities of world-wide deliveries and a well-designed blog.
